Hike of the Month

March was the month that I learned that there were Geocaches dotted throughout the Ruahine Range. How exciting!

We managed to find a few on No 1 Line, one took a while to spot but that was ok, it was just after a steep climb so the reprieve was more than welcome. The other was a nice quick find.

No 1 line is a fantastic half day hike that takes you straight up the ranges to a spectacular view that stretches across the manawatu. If you’re lucky, you might even spot the Tongariro mountains.

Photo of the Month

This photo was taken by my friend Ronna of Laguna Llaca, Peru. The lucky girl has been over in Peru exploring since September last year taunting us all with photos like this. Can’t wait to have her back on NZ soil soon though (fingers crossed)
